I’m back off my extended vacation, and I’m ready to start covering the Oregon State football team again.
Check back on the blog later today for many updates on what’s going on. And remember to follow my on at Twitter.com/cliffgt and/or at Facebook.
The only thing that happened to catch up on while I was gone was the fourth verbal commitment came in, and it’s a WR of course.
Jermel Walker of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., committed this week, according to Rivals.com. He’s a 6-foot, 165-pounder. He’s a friend of other commits Jordan Villamin and Victor Bolden.
All three are three-star WRs. They go to different schools in the Inland Empire. DL coach Joe Seumalo hit the jackpot in his recruiting area.
Rivals says Walker is slot back material with speed. He was recruited by Houston, Minnesota, Nevada, Utah State and Utah.
Check out his highlight video below.

Come on, we’ve been picked low before. I will campaign for change as much as the next guy/gal, but nobody should give a crud about where we’re picked. Ted Miller, who slobbers all over the ducks, seems to think we may have something this year.
I am a little, actually a lot, concerned about the recruiting. We need some lineman on both sides of the ball, and we’ve gotten zip in the early stages.

And……
If OS does not have someone on the Penn State campus, it is a huge mistake. This is a competitive business, they have kids who are looking elsewhere, and we have obvious spots to fill.

In 2006, 2007, 2008 Beavs were picked last, 7th and 8th. I also remeber the first 25 years of my life, when they had last place finishes. Grow up BeaversTeeth

So how about some predictions from you guys that are all grown up? I predict a another losing season at best 5 wins and that is a stretch. Without a proven offensive and defensive line which the beavers lack nothing else really matters.

Here is my outlook:
Wins: Nicholls State, UCLA, Az, WSU,BYU,ASU & Cal. Lose to Wisc, Utah, WA, Stanford & UO.
The BYU game will be tough, but I also think Wisc,Utah at home and Stanford are winnable games
7-5 likely..8-4 with healthy team…….Upset alert….Wisconsin….Our skill positions on Offense are better than theirs…..
