There have been several items to read about this week involving Oregon State athletics. Check them out below.
Former men’s soccer standout F Danny Mwanga was traded the Portland Timbers from F Jorge Perlaza. Here are Mwanga’s thoughts.
Read about men’s golfer Nick Sherwood, a West Albany High alum, who qualified for the U.S. Open.
ESPN doesn’t think the men’s hoops job at OSU is very attractive. That means the Beavers better hold on to Craig Robinson.
Wrestling director of operations Nick Simmons has taken a job as the assistant coach at Indiana. Simmons is also a standout lightweight wrestler, who is an alternate on the U.S. Olympic team.
He would wrestle the lightweights in practice to help them improve. His loss of his ability and knowledge is a blow to the Beavers.
And check out the Jared Cunningham blog as he prepares for the NBA draft.
Former OL Kyle DeVan, who stopped playing in the NFL to begin his coaching career with the Beavers as a GA, decided to give the NFL one more try. Read about it here.
And someone is betting against the football team doing well this fall.

With DeVan coaching I was hoping to see a greater killer instinct and progress on the O line… sure hope they can get someone good to fill that slot…

Speaking of our favorite Danny, If MR returns the play-calling duties to him after this spring session I doubt we will win more than 4.

Haha. You are correct. The “Old Faithful” of play calling.
