Oregon State football coach Mike Riley said last week that he’s updating the recruiting areas of some of his coaches after the hire of DB coach Rod Perry.
Perry has spent the last 22 years in the NFL and needs some time get into the recruiting rhythm.
“Rod will be a great evaluator,” Riley said. “Rod will be an outstanding in recruiting, building relationships. He just has to know the process of getting in schools.”
WR coach Brent Brennan, who is known as an energetic recruiter, will be joined in the L.A. area with Perry and RB Chris Brasfield.
Brasfield will be take the Central Valley area, which is where he’s from, part of L.A and Texas.
“The process of recruiting with Chris and Brent with (Perry) in L.A. would be a good team,” Riley said. “It arose from an idea from Chris and Brent.”
Perry will also work the Dallas area while Brasfield takes the rest of Texas, which is a huge undertaking anyway.
“It will take more than one person in Texas,” Riley said.

What I think is: Show me results in the effort. I’m a long life Beaver and don’t want to see anymore seasons like the last one. I’m also a huge Coach Riley fan. Using a phrase from the lates Al Davis, “just win baby!!!!!!!!!!!” Son recruit some winners.
