The No. 8 Oregon State gymnastics team head to No. 21 Washington tonight for a Pac-12 meet. Check out the below video of a review of last week’s win over Stanford and a preview of the Huskies.
Check out my gymnastics notebook in Friday’s GT. It leads off with what’s going on with Olivia Vivian with lineup updates and injuries.
Here’s the meet story in Saturday’s GT. The Beavers win again.
When looking at the rankings, the vault is still an issue. Associate head coach Michael Chaplin said he looking for future gymnasts who can improve the vault situation. Coach Tanya Chaplin feels she has enough for now with some improvements.
They are doing great this week, and we should be back up on it,” Tanya said of the vault team. “We are getting more depth on it. That’s good to see since he’s working hard to get the numbers up there. It’s just getting it clean and solid to score, firing all at the same time.”
Overall depth continues to grow with the six freshman gymnast on the squad. They are challenging for lineup spots.
“It’s nice to see there are more peopled getting routines together, which allows us through all these illness and injuries to put some different people out,” Tanya said. “That will make us stronger in the end.”

Cliff,
There is a short note in the G-T on the change in radio stations, from KPAM to KEX. This is a change I can agree with, KPAM was hard to get.
What will this mean for game coverage? KEX did not carry all of the Beaver Baseball games when they had the rights to Beaver Sports before. Will they carry them now? How long will the pregame show be for Football? Will there be expended coverage of sports other than Baseball, Basketball and Football?

From the press release:
Terms of the agreement call for KEX AM/FM stations to air football game-day broadcasts, including all regular and post-season games and pre- and post-game programming. Additionally, the KEX stations will carry all men’s basketball game-day broadcasts, inclusive of regular season and post-season play and pre- and post-game programming. KPOJ may air certain non-conference men’s basketball games as mutually agreed upon by the network and station. Beginning this spring, the 2012 Beaver baseball games will air exclusively on KPOJ to include all regular season and post-season play, as well as all pre- and post-game programming.
