The Beavers at Friday's walkthrough.

The Oregon State football team ran through its one-hour walkthrough on Civil War eve Friday afternoon in Reser Stadium. I don’t go to many of those, and boy were they all orange from neck to toe.

It was amusing to see the specialists hanging out playing touch football and the OL running through pass patterns and throwing the ball around before just watching the bulk of the workout.

Are the Beavers nervous about the game? No way.

LB Rueben Robinson (concussion) was ruled out for the second week in a row, coach Mike Riley said after the workout.

WR James Rodgers (ankle) is a game-time decision. He did not practice all week and didn’t take part of the walkthrough. “Obviously, it  doesn’t took good,” Riley said. “But he’s honest about it. He said we’ll see how he pushes off and if he can help the team.”

Here’s a footnote in Rodgers history. If he doesn’t play, his last play as an OSU player will be a pass attempt to QB Sean Mannion that didn’t work. He was sacked and ost rushing yards.

The team is packing up and heading to Eugene tonight to bond and look at a lot of video in preparation for the Saturday’s game.

I’ll be live at twitter.com/cliffgt, Facebook and the blog early in the morning.
