There were a couple notes to come out the Oregon State football team’s practice on Thursday.
RB Malcolm Agnew (hamstring) pulled himself out of practice because of tightness. With two days before the game, he should be able to give it a try.
Agnew practiced Tuesday and Wednesday this week, after missing the last three weeks.
OG Grant Enger injured his shoulder Wednesday. He tried to practice Thursday, but was held out of the team work. He did individual drills.
If he can’t go, senior Michael Lamb will be the starting LG.

Cliff, if Agnew were to skip the rest of the season is he eligible for a redshirt year. if so seems to me like he should go that route, as a young kid, and get ready for next year at 100%. We are basically playing for nothing now this season

He’ll need a doctor to say he can not play any more this season. If he can come back in seven games, he won’t be eligible for a medical hardship.

I’m glad this guy isn’t our coach. “We are basically playing for nothing now this season.” Great outlook. That would go over well in the locker room; “OK, men, since we have nothing to play for with 9 games left I’m going to sit all the seniors and play underclassman to get them experience for next year. OK, let’s get out there!”

It comes from too much NCAA 2012 on the XBox. The only thing that matters (in that view) is winning a National Championship. As soon as you’ve got a loss under your belt, sim the rest of the games & focus on next season.
Of course, that view is not quite congruent with reality, is it? But that’s why we mustn’t listen to people with those kinds of views when they are playing the role of armchair coach & AD.
Then again, that is MY view

Uh, isn’t that what Riley is doing? Look at how many freshman have played this season and how many seniors are sitting…

dili_don’t….. Hey smarty pants, first let me say that the fact I am important enough to you to utilize me in your user name is somewhat flattering, and hey, I must admit it causes me to have some affection for you. Having said that, despite your lack of specificity, I can only conclude you disagree with me that there is still something left this season to play for. Let us see how intelligent you are by specifiying in detail what you think there is left to play for. Is it a toilet bowl? Maybe just PRIDE, huh? Let’s hear it man, tell us. If you do I promise I will respond. Hey, maybe you can ask your friend maffuu to help you figure it out. In my opinion Riley and his poor assistant coaches are heading us into the direction of the 70′s and 80′s programs. What do you think? By the way, are you affilitated in some way with the team or family members of the team, the coaching staff or otherwise? If not then I will respect your objective opinion. If you are then admit it, ok. Thanks.
