The Beavers get ready for practice Monday.

Oregon State starting LG Josh Andrews returned to practice Monday, but didn’t hit. He’s on the way back from his concussion last week. He’s still expected to play this week in the season opener against Sacramento State.

Starting WR Markus Wheaton (hip) missed his second practice in three days. Coach Mike Riley held him out to make sure he’s healthy for the game. He’s having a hard time running.

Starting DT Dominic Glover was not at practice because he was doing school work. There is no change in his academic eligibility, yet.

WR James Rodgers practiced returning punts for the first time. He did individual drills, but no team returns.

Redshirt freshman walk-on FB Wesley Meng joined the team. He took the roster spot for TE Kellen Clute (knee).

The starting running back will be announced Tuesday when the Beavers do their weekly sound bite press conference for TV and radio. Since there’s going to be an announcement, I’d expect true freshman Malcolm Agnew to get the nod. A true freshman RB has never started the season for OSU.

OLB Rueben Robinson (back) was out for the second day in three days. OLB Cameron Collins (abdominal) was limited again.
