OT Gavin Andrews verbally committed to the Oregon State football team after a camp at OSU, according to Rivals.com. Check out his highlight video below.
Andrews is a 6-foot-5, 280-pounder from Granite Bay, Calif. He had other Pac-12 Conference offers from Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Washington State.
He told the recruiting site that he enjoyed the camp and meeting with the coaches.
Andrews didn’t do a full workout at the camps as he is recovering from a meniscus tear from wrestling season.
This is the fourth known commitment for the 2012 class, and first offensive lineman.

Finally, OSU received a verbal from an OT recruit in OT Gavin Andrews! He’s 6’5 280 or 6’6 290 pounds (depending on which website/recruiting service you look at), (for those who like stars) 3 stars as of now, This is Big time for OSU!
He looks like a beast and a fierce competitor! Any chance he gets, he puts a defender on his back and drives him to the ground. He also plays whistle to whistle, he doesn’t just stop if the play is away from him, and he blocks downfield well. It’s early, but I’m starting to get very excited about the 2012 OSU recruiting class! It appears to me that Brent Brennan and Chris Brasfield are making some headway on the recruiting trail so far! 17 and 18 year old kids/recruits are really going to like these new coaches by being able to relate to them, and they will enjoy playing for them too.

Definitely like how this class is shaping up. If Beavs can land 1-2 more OL of any repute this could be a great class overall. Apparently one sub .500 season doesnt diminish what recruits think of the direction of this program.

This is on of the best years in history for West Coast linemen.I hope OSU gets their share.
With ??? of coaching at UCLA (Who’ll be their next coach)and the well documented problems at SC ( no bowls and 15 scholarships) now is the time to “farm” So.Cal. from Los Angeles, south.
Go Beavers !
