One of the most amusing parts of the Oregon State football team’s practices this spring has been what WR coach Brent Brennan has been doing with his players.

I’ve pointed out some of the interesting drills and showed some video. Check out another drill in the above video.

His best drills have been with this padded stick and he beats on them after the catch. Think American Gladiators. See the picture.

“He came with a lot of recommendations and descriptions of his coaching that I like,” coach Mike Riley said. “It’s very good for these receivers. They tend to be, well, you know, it’s good to toughen them up.”

Overall, he’s very animated. I’m not saying that in an OL Mike Cavanaugh way. Brennan is just full of energy as he runs around everywhere.
