Outside in Reser Stadium on Friday afternoon.

The Oregon State football team practiced in Reser Stadium on Friday. It was the last day without pads.

As noted earlier, RB Jordan Jenkins (shoulder) is out for the rest of the spring and will have surgery Monday. WR Darrell Catchings (flu) sat out his second practice.

QB Ryan Katz (wrist) did some work, but finished the day watching and icing his hand. That’s part of his daily routine.

It was alumni day with Yvenson Bernard, Sabby Piscitelli, Jacquizz Rodgers, James Dockery, Brennan Olander, Stephen Paea, Ben Terry and Howard Croom hanging out.

Dockery has a meeting with the Oakland Raiders coming up. Rodgers just came back from a meeting with the New England Patriots.

As for the practice, there was a lot of special teams and position drills. The team interaction was still ragged being early in the spring and so many young guys being used.

“We did a lot of putting in plays and we did a lot of interaction, so it was a good week,” coach Mike Riley said. “In general this team is in good shape. There are a lot of guys who are better looking athletes because of being a year older and a lot of good offseason work, as it should be.”
