The Oregon State football team will take some time to recover emotionally and mentally from a tough season. You could tell the Beavers were tired from a long season.
“I’m proud of our team,” coach Mike Riley said. “We played hard. Our defense was very well prepared and made a ton of good plays, and we needed a few more. We had every opportunity to do better on offense, but we made some good plays. To beat that team we needed to play better all around on offense.”
Check out the above highlight video of the game. Here’s a link to my main story in Sunday’s GT looking at what happened. Here’s a link to the notes.

“As a defense, I thought we played pretty well,” DE Gabe Miller said. “We didn’t give up too many big plays. We got them off the field, and we slowed them up for a while. I’m proud of everyone on the team.”
You may have missed this note, in the notebook, but the Beavers got a commitment from WR Larry Scott from Centennial High in Corona, Calif. He’s a 6-foot-1, 170-pound, two-star athlete.
Scott is the 15th verbal for the 2011 class and fourth receiver. Here’s his highlight video.
