1. Oregon (10-0, 7-0): A bye gave the Ducks a chance to rest for a hard final stretch with Arizona and Oregon State.
2. Stanford (10-1, 7-1): That was as good as any team looked in a blowout of Cal. Cardinal going for style points for a BCS bid.
3. Oregon State (5-5, 4-3): Beavers get a partial Mulligan after win over USC. It doesn’t totally erase the embarrassing losses to UCLA and Cougars.
4. Southern California: (7-4, 4-4): Trojans were stunned last night and didn’t know what happened. It was kind of what OSU felt against WSU.
5. Arizona (7-3, 4-3): A bye was needed for a team on a two-game losing streak. Wonder what Mike Stoops has for the Ducks?
6. Washington (4-6, 3-4): Bowl eligibility comes down to trips to Cal and Pullman. That’s a lot for an inconsistent team and beat up QB.
7. California (5-6, 3-5): That was another pitiful showing in The Big Game. That means Bears are ready for a good one this week.
8. Arizona State (4-6, 2-5): A bye should help Sun Devils regroup. They can play spoiler for UCLA in search of a bowl game.
9. UCLA (4-6, 2-5): If Bruins get by ASU they get a wounded USC QB Matt Barkley. The season can still end in success. Say thank-you to OSU, again.
10. Washington State (2-9, 1-7): Cougars have a second week off to prepare for Huskies. A win there would help coaches keep their jobs.

These rankings don't make sense. OSU was the 10th most powerful team last week, and now they're 3rd?

How can the rankings make sense? The only thing that makes sense is No. 1 and No. 2. 3-10 is a crap shoot.

Cliff said last week that his power rankings are a snapshot of the conference and how it played THAT week. Each week will be different depending on how everyone played.
