There weren’t many highlights, but check out the above GT produced video highlight from the Oregon State football team’s loss to Washington State on Saturday.

Here’s the full follow up story in Monday’s GT.

“I was disappointed, but I don’t know I was shocked,” coach Mike Riley said Sunday night after reviewing the video of the game. “I was shocked we didn’t play better. I saw signs of great improvement from that team, and they put it together yesterday. I have no problem acknowledging that they beat us thoroughly. We didn’t execute yesterday. We had breakdowns in all areas. The rhythm and confidence we played a couple weeks ago compared to yesterday was worse than night and day.”

Riley said Sunday night that two players had minor concussions from the game: FB Will Darkins and MLB Tony Wilson. They will be evaluated through the week. The soonest they may practice will be Thursday.

I asked if anyone would be benched, and said he had no comment tonight. That means he’s thinking about it. We’ll see what happens Tuesday after the coaches meet and figure things out. Riley even said the practice plans are being reviewed to get the players better prepared.

“There’s probably a major analysis of a whole bunch of issues that are mental,” Riley said. “I think there’s an issue of being called flat, being tight. I talked about the idea that we have to be, No. 1, our mentally toughest of our lives right now. That has to translate into the total devotion of what we do. We all have responsibility. And we all have responsibility to pull us out of it.”

Riley acknowledged the fans who are making this the best OSU season at the gate, ever, and those on message boards who are mad and want people fired.

“I’m appreciative of that,” Riley said of the big crowds. “The crowd was outstanding (against Washington State). All I can do is let them know we’ll do everything we can to play the best football we can in the next three games.”

Riley also said he was not asking for a specific review of the latest hit ever on RB Jacquizz Rodgers. It’s up to the Pac-10 if it wants to do anything after it reviews itself on its own. (That means it will be swept under the rug.)

Here’s where the Beavers ranked nationally and the Pac-10 after the WSU game:
