We’ll start off with the above highlight video produced by the GT from the Oregon State football team’s Pacific-10 Conference win over Arizona State on Saturday.
Here are the bullet points of interest that came out of talking with coach Mike Riley on Sunday night. More will be in Monday’s GT. Here’s the link.
WR James Rodgers (concussion) ran and caught passes with the team Sunday and will be back to practice full time Tuesday. LB Dwight Roberson (knee) is still questionable. He’s out of the brace but did not run.
TE Brady Camp (bruised back) is consisdered day-to-day. TE Colby Prince (sprained foot) is doubtful for Saturday at No. 9 Arizona. WR Aaron Nichols and RB Jordan Jenkins suffered minor concussions Saturday. OSU hopes they return to practice Wednesday or Thursday.
Here’s an interesting stat fact. The top three teams in the country this week in total defense are Boise State, Arizona and Texas Christian. That could be a reason for the Beavers had issues on offense, and may have trouble this week. Arizona opens as an 8.5 to 9.5 favorite over the Beavers.
OSU recruit Connor Thomas is in trouble with the law in Montana. He’s the brother of former OSU OL Tyler Thomas, the naked three-point stance guy.

I think OSU should cut their losses with the Connors–they seem more like BSU guys anyway.

We're offering a scholarship to a litigious pot smoker and yet we always end up with plenty of walk-ons becoming impact players…
How about we save the scholarships for guys who are smart enough to know that hanging out with potheads is a recipe for disaster.

I think people are really underestimating the strength of schedule that OSU has played so far. TCU and Boise state are legit top 10 teams and OSU hung with them for 4 quarters. Very tough games for Katz to learn a lot and he still has yet to throw an INT. Pretty impressed with him, glad we have him back next year too, a year of development will be great for his game.
