The story on the offense is interesting Cliff. Certainly there is lots of room for improvement everywhere. The low stats are partly attributable to playing too really tough teams in the first three games. Boise and TCU are in the Top 11 in total defense after 4 weeks.
Contrast that with the boys in green down the road. They were at or near the top in every offensive category after playing New Mexico and PSU. Of course, they gave up 600 yards to ASU and The Mike and Company rushed for less yards than the Sun Devils.
I'm thinking our numbers improve because we get better overall and because we play teams that aren't as talented as TCU and Boise.
