BOISE, Idaho — Boise State fans and a good group of Oregon State fans showed up at the ESPN College Game Day production in Broncos Stadium on Saturday morning.
Counting people on the stadium floor, half the stadium was full at its peak. People were coming and going during the four hours they were allowed in.
I saw blue people and people with spud hats. Really. There were the Blue Demon look-a-likes with their lucha libre masks on.
I wanted to run into OSU fans to interview for a story in Sunday’s edition. It was easy since a mom of a friend of my son, Logan, flagged me down in the crowd. Keli Abbott brought 10 of her OSU friends along.
There were a ton of signs as usual. Most of them were pro BSU, some funny and a few OSU. The best sign said “Save a tree, kill a beaver.”

my favorite sign was "Oregon State Biebers." That made me laugh.
But what was the deal with the Gameday stage being so far away from the crowd? Arent they normally right up close?

Fans were right behind the stage, on the turf. Then there was the stadium crowd a ways back.

on tv it looked like the crowd was in the stands and the stage on the field. They looked to be about 40, 50 ft away.
Are you staying in the same hotel as the players? How are they feeling, loose or tense?

They were all healthy enough to practice Wed/Thur. They should be stronger by today.

That's good for depth. I take it the guys who were sick (olander, frahm, mcandrews) will all be coming off the bench? That could be good given that Castro M looked great last week.

He did look good last week…so did Kamat and Wilson.. They seemed to be playing with an attitude unlike the other backers.

Very excited about castro. Would like to see collins get more snaps at olb today. I think he could really help us there given the reps.
