The Oregon State football team moved up to No. 25 in the AP poll this week. Not bad for a bye week.
The Beavers were preseason No. 24, but dropped out after a season-opening loss to then-No. 6 TCU.
Speculation about ESPN’s College GameDay going to Boise State for the Sept. 25 game with OSU has started. Read about it here. Basically the Broncos must beat Wyoming and the Beavers take down Louisville.
The Beavers are favored over Louisville by 17 and Boise State is favored at Wyoming by 23.5.
The latest word from OSU about the start time for Boise State is either 12:30 p.m. (hip hip hooray) or 5 p.m. (boo) on ABC on the Weat Coast and ESPN/ESPN2 the rest of the country.

No one wins in Boise! I am a Beaver fan true and true but no one wins in Boise. Both games the Beavers played in Boise they got ran over big time the games played at Reser the Beavers barely one. The media and coaches say Mike Riley does more with the players he has then any other coach in the pac 10 but let's look at Boise State man O man talk about doing more with the players you have let's talk about Chris Peterson who gets the most and very most out of his players some of whom the pac ten teams pass over and a system of football which is the envy of many college programs. How does he do it?

Dangerous thinking, I know, but I haven't given much thought to Louisville, I can't help but look ahead to Boise. I hope the Beavs aren't doing the same thing.

OSU better not look ahead! We need to beat Louisville, PERIOD!!!
I hope it is a sell out for the home opener and I hope to see Black & Orange everywhere this week and filling out Reser on September 18th!
GO BEAVS, beat Louisville!

If Katz cant do better than 9 completions, coupled with LU's defense stopping the Beavs run game, this could potentially be a closer game than anticipated. Beavs cannot afford to take anyone lightly, particularly a team that just a few years ago trounced our team to the attune of 63 pts. Hopefully the TCU game was a wakeup call and Beavs will make the adjustments to come out smoking. No reason why Beavs shouldnt be competitve against BSU, either!

Mr. Cliff has made the point on many ocasions that he is no Homer. He reports it as he sees it regardless of who he likes or doesnt like. I dont want to answer anymore for him but he just calls it the way he see it. He does not bleed orange. And yes he does get paid to cover the beavs.
It is nice to see a Quack on here every now and then to spicen things up but dont take Cliff on. Dont take aim at the moderator though, he just reports what he sees. And if you do try to get smart with your replies come hard and come correct. Dont come at us with some garbled bunch of BS that barely anybody can understand.

BSU was smart to take a bye week after their Monday night game. Bet Va Tech wishes they did that. Those short weeks can spell trouble.

they thought it was a bye week. I live out here in Va and it is funny because it is known around here that these teams are close. The coaches are close and many of the players played together in highschool, they all know each other. But Beamer has let this team (JMU) come down to Blacksburg more than once to watch their practices and learn some tricks of the trade. Much like when Riley let Dan Hawkins in on some of our practices. The problem is that VaTech really underestimated the Dukes. Beamer was overconfident himself. Bad move.

I think it makes more sense after a fifth of Jack. Not that I would know.

Louisville didn't when I went to its stadium in 2005. I found that the oddest thing.

Let's hope for the 5pm. I am going for bust here as the Beavers beat the Broncos on ABC in prime time, setting the stage for a good season. Although it's really a sword, if the Broncos beat the Beavers, the Broncos are good. If OSU wins, then the knock will be that the Broncos were over-rated as their win against Virginia Tech was against a really weak team. But let's do it in prime time…..
