The Oregon State football game at Hawaii in 2011 has been bumped back to Sept. 6, 2014 with a home game of the two-game series Sept. 7, 2013, athletic director Bob De Carolis confirmed.
The Beavers asked for the change because it was scheduled for the last week of the season. Their conference will be the Pacific-12 with a conference title game if Colorado joins by then, and that’s when the game would be played.
Colorado may be forced to stay in the Big 12 Conference until 2012. That will be determined later. OSU is clearing up its schedule just in case.
“Yes, we are in the midst of trading revisions to the contract,” De Carolis said in an e-mail. “So we are moving it to 2013 and 2014.”
The 2014 calendar year gives the Beavers an extra week between Labor Day and Thanksgiving so they can play 13 games and still have a bye.
The NCAA allows teams an extra game when traveling to Hawaii as a benefit to help the Warriors schedule nonconference games.

The news out of Boulder still has CU's move to the Pac 10 in limbo for 2011. Does this tell us more than just a schedule change?

Cliff,
I noticed on yours and Coach Riley's twitter accounts that the OSU coaching staff is hitting the recruiting trail, looking for "Future Beavers"!!! Do you know the current recruiting needs for the 2011 class? Are you planning on writing an article or blog on that subject in the future? Thanks!

That will be down the road a bit. I'm just updating as they go for now. I couple blogs down has the commitments list. There are 12. WR seems to be a focus with four so far. At least eight more overall to go. OSU in general just goes after the best available athletes they like in all positions.

This does not make your mother-in-law happy. She was looking forward to Christmas in Hawaii.
