The Oregon State football team returned to practice for the first time since the TCU loss over the weekend. The Beavers dropped out of the rankings in the wake of the defeat.

It was a spirited workout in the rain that went longer than typical bye week practices. The Beavers reviewed their mistakes more and started in on Louisville prep.

“I thought it was awesome,” coach Mike Riley said. “These guys came out here with a great purpose – good enthusiasm and business-like. There’s a realization (that improvement is needed), but no reason to hang your head. We have a lot of work to do.”

Confident Katz
QB Ryan Katz said he feels good coming out of his first start. After looking at the video he saw many areas where he can improve his game.

“You have to keep playing,” Katz said. “There are some big plays out there to be made. We just have to execute better. I’m going week by week. All these games build on each other.

Injury update

LB Dwight Roberson (sick) and TE Joe Halahuni (bruised shoulder) sat out practice, but should be back soon.
