Oregon State football coach Mike Riley gave the media some depth chart updates Tuesday at the weekly media gathering. Check out his opening statements at his weekly press conference above.

DE Taylor Henry (ankle) jogged Monday and is probable for Saturday’s game against TCU.

New LB Cameron Collins is being used as an extra LB in certain packages. That leaves Suaesi Tuimaunei and Lance Mitchell as the starting safeties with Anthony Watkins and Josh LaGrone the backups.

OT Wilder McAndrews will start with Michael Philipp the backup. There will be no rotation.

RB Jordan Jenkins is the official third-down backup to Jacquizz Rodgers. Ryan McCants and Jenkins will share backup duties in other situations.

No official decision on who the starting MLB will be – Rueben Robinson or Tony Wilson. Defensive coordinator Mark Banker said both will play.

WR Obum Gwacham will not play as a true freshman. DE Scott Crichton will travel and be ready to play. If he’s not needed, he’ll redshirt.

AD report
Nearly 27,000 season tickets have been sold. That’s a 3,800 increase from last year, athletic director Bob De Carolis reported on the department’s website. About 4,000 Valley View Level season tickets have been sold compared to the 400 last season.

“I want to thank all of you who have contributed in any way – from buying season tickets to becoming new donors or continuing your financial support,” De Carolis wrote. “It all adds up – so sincere thanks to all of you.”

Prince has done well
West Albany High alum sophomore TE Colby Prince had an impressive training camp and is projected as key offensive player in the future.

“I have been from the moment we got Colby Prince, very excited about him,” Riley said. “I knew he had athletic ability and he’s a tremendously hard worker. He’s one of the those guys you don’t worry about. He’s a good student and does all the right stuff.”

Prince played some in mop-up duty last season. He caught a pass for 12 yards. He’s the No. 4 TE for the two spots, but two graduate after this season. Joe Halahuni and him will be the veterans next year.

“When he was in high school he was a wide receiver and we projected him as an H-back, tight end,” Riley said. “He worked really hard. He’s now 260 (pounds) now. He still runs well and he can catch the ball.”
