This will run in the crime log in Wednesday’s GT. Note the name in bold. That’s the Pac-10 champ.
Here’s the full story that appears in Thursday’s GT.

ASSAULT: 2:32 a.m., 200 block Northwest 14th Street. More details have been released about an alleged assault. A police officer was in the area of the 200 block of Northwest 14th Street when a man covered in blood ran in front of the patrol car. The officer stopped the man, Waleanalu Arquette, 23, of Corvallis, in the 300 block of Northwest Jackson Avenue. Arquette had a laceration on his head but refused medical treatment. He said he and a friend were walking north on Northwest 14th Street when some men in front of them started calling them names. Arquette responded and one of the men punched him twice in the face. Arquette’s friend, Kenn Asato, 21, of Corvallis, was punched in the eye. Oregon State Police later cited Colby Ray Covington, 22, of Corvallis, for fourth-degree assault.

My first question: roid rage?
Second question: are the Beavs trying to win the Civil War: Crime Edition?

Colby's from down here in Springfield. I think he's a plant.
It was only a matter of time. Remember that he left Iowa because of his drunken stupidity. Who runs from the cops doing 60 in a 25 zone and then blows a .225 after he's caught? Colby's lucky he isn't dead or in prison for killing someone.
If I recall correctly, Colby's arrest was the last in a string of football/wrestling arrests at Iowa a couple years back. Wasn't it?

Sorry, I just checked it. He blew a .255, not a .225.

And last week's GT blotter said it was a 19 year old kid he beat up. Did the story change?

It took longer than usual to get the info on this one. So the story may have changed.

I hope it doesn't affect this student-athlete's academic scholarship.
