Sports action will be hot and heavy this weekend for Oregon State.
The baseball team opens up at home at 5:30 p.m. today against Tennessee; that is if its stops raining. Read it here. The Beavers and Vols also tangle Saturday and Sunday. I’ll be there checking things out.
The No. 15 wrestling team is at UC Davis for the Pac-10 championships. Read my two blogs here and here to know what to expected.
The NFL combine gets going Saturday and into earlier next week. QB Sean Canfield and LB Keaton Kristick are there.
The No. 7 gymnastics team is at Arizona State, looking to bounce back from a loss at UCLA last week. Read this blog for the latest on the team.
The softball team is in Palm Springs, Calif., for the big tournament its runs each year.
And of course the basketball teams keep limping along against USC. The women are at home Saturday.

Don't understand how we can shoot 34% from the field, with most of the missed shots inside the paint. Same thing happened in our loss to Stanford, somebody needs to ask coach why we can't sink good shots inside? UCLA bothered us, did not allow many outside shots, and after all of that we still had our chance if we had taken care of the ball..turnovers kill you in close games.
