The Oregon State football team agreed to play a home-and-home series with Hawaii in 2011 and 2014. The first game will be Dec. 3, 2011 in Honolulu to end the regular season. The Warriors come to Corvallis on Sept. 13, 20014.
“This is a great series for both programs,” coach Mike Riley said. “There are many connections between both states and schools; it’s a good experience for our players and I think it makes sense for both programs to play each other on a regular basis.”
The Beavers will have a 13-game regular season schedule in 2011. The NCAA allows an extra game as incentive to help Hawaii schedule nonconference games.
Two more nonconference games, likely in September, are still being sought for that season. There’s already a Sept. 10 game at Wisconsin on the schedule.

Cliff,
I thought we were playing at Minnesota on Septemer 13, 2014 and then having them in Corvallis on September 12, 2015. Are we dropping the home and home with Minnesota?

It looks like it's off the table, or delayed. Hawaii is in that slot in 2014.

That would be to bad if we drop the Gophers. Getting home and home series with Big-10 teams is good for the program.

It was mentioned a while back via various media sources that the games with Minnesota have been pushed out further into the future.
Per the Minnesota official site the dates are:
9/9/17 OSU @ Minnesota
9/8/18 Minnesota @ OSU

This game/series is clearly a recruiting tool/trip. Can't argue with that. But there's absolutely nothing else to gain from playing at Hawaii.

Maybe us fans go and have a good time doing things. There is much more than what you might see in it.

What are you talking about Angry? You gain experience and you avoid (hopefully a loss). Until they start to punish teams for playing cheese puffs (not to say Hawaii is a complete cheese puff) I say load up on WAC foes not named BSU.

Is there any update on the possible TCU game next year? Is there a deadline as to when the game has to be agreed to by?
ckirkpatrick says:

No deadline. ESPN has stepped in to help make the deal happen. OSU wants to get a payoff game for Eastern Washington before accepting the TCU deal.

Perhaps Eastern Washington can fill the schedule out in 2011.
Who was TCU slated to play in that first game? Perhaps Beavs can link them up together and let everyone off the hook.
Next year will be a tough schedule. I expect Louisville to be one of those must win/can win games because it's whole coaching situation is in disarray and can they turn it around that quick?
