I’m in transit to the Valley of the Sun for the Oregon State football’s Pac-10 game at Arizona State. I’ll have my pregame/game blog up after I get to Sun Devil Stadium.

Here’s something to look for in the game. Lance Mitchell and Cameron Collins were the first-team safeties this week in practice. Suaesi Tuimaunei dropped to the second team. So, expect a lineup change today.

Here’s the main story, setting the stage of the game. Coach Mike Riley hopes for something to pump life into his team. And that’s a win.

Here are the players to watch in the Game Day section. It’s WR James Rodgers and Arizona State QB Danny Sullivan. Picking them, I expect a shootout.

Here’s the cover story on the Game Day section. It’s on the five areas that the Beavers must take care of to win the game. The first three are the Xs and Os stuff we’ve beat to death in print and the blog. The last two are mental, and at this point just as important.

It’s really one-stop shopping if you go the main story here. It has my video interviews with Riley, QB Sean Canfield, CB Tim Clark and all the stories this week along the left side. The ASU scouting report is there, too.

My pick for the game? The Beavers start the annual turnaround at 2-3. Why? They just don’t play well at ASU and I don’t feel the extreme sense of urgency from the players that push them to be the best they can be.

With my early, early morning departure I needed to update the iPod. So here’s a sample of what’s getting me going for the game, since I ask the players that exact question for my weekly Q&As with them.

The answer from them is usually rap, R&B or metal. So I fused them together for this trip with Korn being played by Snoop Dogg and posse.
