Getting ready for PSU Comments
The Oregon State football team worked in a scouting team session in Saturday’s practice. The above photo is of the offense against the scout defense.
“We are entering a new phase with the scout team,” coach Mike Riley said afterward. “It’s a hard transition for me because things slow down. And then it picks up as the scout team learns to play. They’ll never be full speed because they are playing off cards, so it’s not an easy thing. It’s an art form learned, so that’s why we started a couple days early.”
Injury update
Backup WR Geno Munoz sat out with an abdominal strain. LB Keith Pankey (back) returned.
Here’s a look at others in the regular PSU game two-deep who are out going into game week but could be ready for the game: TE Howard Croom (concussion), CB Brandon Hardin (ankle) and DT Brennan Olander (knee). WR Darrell Catchings (wrist) is out for at least this game.
No news WR Markus Wheaton (clearing house) and his eligibility. And nothing with QB Peter Lalich (class status), so he’s working with the scout team.
