It was hot one Tuesday during the Oregon State football team’s practice. So it became the annual popsicle day. There was a brief pause for a popsicle break in the middle of practice.
More injuries mount. Do I say that each day?
RB Jovan Stevenson sat out due to a sore Achilles’ tendon. He’s expected back soon. As noted earlier QB Sean Canfield sat out to rest a sore shoulder.
OL Brent McNeil (head) was out, and will be out a few days. LB Kevin Unga (hamstring) was out.
MLB David Pa’aluhi (head) returned. WR Damola Adeniji (groin) started by didn’t finish practice.
Junior DT Stephen Paea is on the watch list of the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player by the Football Writers Association and the Charlotte Touchdown Club.
The below photo is of true freshman Markus Wheaton being jumped by the TV crews after practice. They are following up on the news he leaped to the top of the depth chart with Darrell Catchings (wrist) out for the year.
