Read my story in Thursday’s GT here about Jesse Fifita (spine), Michael Doctor (academics), Justin Engstrom (transfer) and other things.

Here are some more notes of interest from Wednesday’s meeting with Oregon State football coach Mike Riley.

CB Brandon Hardin (wrist) will be ready to go the first day of training camp, but will have a protective wrap on his hand.

OT Timi Oshinowo (knee) should be ready before October, but still won’t be ready for the first game. He said earlier that it would be into October before he was ready.

OT Wilder McAndrews (wrist) will start camp doing rehab but should be ready to go in the middle of August. He’s a contender for the open starting spot.

Expect WR Jordan Bishop to move from backup SE to backup slot. Riley likes his size running in the seam. That would make Geno Munoz the backup SE behind Darrell Catchings.

The Rodgers brothers are at full strength from their shoulder injuries. RB Jacquizz will be protected in terms what the defense can do to him, but he will take some hits in scrimmages.

“We will definitely take it easy in full hits,” Riley said. “We’ll practice like we normally practice. But at some point I’m going to let him scrimmage. I would love to have Ryan (McCants) rotating in sometimes. I hope that happens early (in the season). But Quizz will take the normal amount of carries in games.”

And check out the interactive media guide from OSU here. It just launched. Take some time and go through it and poke around. Don’t do it at work our or you boss might get mad.
